Complete pack contact adhesive DS ortho3030 - DUROSPRAY
Specially developed for long-term bonding of full and perforated genuine leather, EVA, cork, textiles, PUR/PIR, plastics, carbon, microfibres, balls, foams, wadding, covering materials, aluminium, GFK, etc.
The initial tack is ideal for bonding soft and stiff materials.
Thanks to the fine spraying with an extremely high solids content, you avoid glue bleed-through even with very sensitive cover layers such as Alcantara or microfibres.
As usual with all adhesives, surfaces must be free from dirt, dust and grease.
For preliminary cleaning of surfaces, use non-greasy solvents such as acetone.
Always test DuroSpray® DS Ortho3030 adhesive under application conditions to ensure suitability before implementing the product in your production.
The glue must be applied to both sides.
NOT RECOMMENDED for materials containing a plasticizer.

• Total solids content: 25 - 27%
• Open time: up to 2 hours
• Evaporation time: 2 - 5 minutes, depending on air temperature and humidity
• Reactivatable by heat
• Application surface: 15-17m2 per kg
Actual use depends on the nature of the surface and the amount of application
• Glue in solvent/propellant gas/flammable
• Can size: 22 litres / 13.2 kg and 500 ml aerosol
• Color: clear
• Storage duration: 15 months
Handling, Storage, Disposal
• Before any use, always comply with the safety data sheet.
• Optimal bonding results achieved when glue, environment and substrate are at +18°C
• Operating temperature: min. +10 °C / max. +40 °C
• During use, do not store the can and hose on concrete floors as the cold affects the behavior of the glue.
• Do not store above 50°C or expose to UV rays.
• Once the valve is connected, always keep it open and keep the hose under pressure.
• Before disconnecting the hose, turn off the pressure.
• Immediately connect the hose to the new container and pressurize to prevent the glue from drying.
• Only dispose of or recycle completely empty containers in accordance with local regulations.
• Once the container is empty, open the valve completely; strike the pre-cut pad with a non-sparking tool to allow any remaining glue to dry.
Application instruction:
1. It is the user's responsibility to always check the suitability of the adhesive for the application by carrying out a test bond. Prepare the surfaces to be bonded and ensure that both contact surfaces are clean and free of dust and grease. To optimise adhesion, polish the surface if necessary. For cleaning, use a non-greasy cleaning agent such as acetone, avoid wetting the cleaning agent too much, it must dry completely before bonding. Please strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions for the materials to be bonded and, if necessary, contact ASK for advice.
2. To achieve a fine and even spray, only open the spray gun until a jet width of approx. 10 cm is achieved at a distance of 10 - 15 cm from the surface. At this distance from the surface, apply the adhesive quickly without oscillating and at a constant speed. Briefly release the gun lever each time you change direction to avoid unnecessary consumption of adhesive. For more detailed information on handling, please refer to the VMT operating instructions, which you can also download from the attached documents.
3. Absorbent materials should preferably be sealed with a layer of glue. Proceed with the actual bonding after drying. A uniform shine forms on the surface when the quantity of glue is sufficient. If you have accidentally applied too much glue (formation of puddles), check before joining the materials that the glue has dried completely and that no solvent is included (approx. 5-10 minutes).
4. After spraying, allow the glue to dry, approx. 2 - 5 minutes (times may vary depending on humidity and temperature). Check the drying status with the back of your hand. The surface should be sticky and matt, but there should be no glue residue left on the skin. Position correctly-
ment the substrates and assemble them by compressing them with appropriate pressure. And this is done from the center outwards. The greater the pressure, the greater the strength. Once the glued surfaces have come into contact, it is no longer possible to reposition the materials!
The glue can be reactivated by applying heat.
5. Bonding that is under tension or subject to high stress (plastic core) is generally carried out at the user's own risk. Such applications require several layers of adhesive per side, a very careful method of implementation and optimum contact pressure.
6. Immediate continuation of work is possible. However, the final strength is only achieved after 24-48 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity. Final hardening is achieved after approx. 7 days.
